Q: I am currently an Event Wizard Standard/Pro user. How do I switch to Event Wizard 5.0?

A: Current customers of Event Wizard Standard/Pro will have a number of choices available to them. Event Wizard 5.0 is rich with new features, many of which are not available in our current product. However, we are not going to stop supporting Event Wizard Standard or Event Wizard Pro. So current customers will have the following choices:

  1. Continue to use Event Wizard Standard/Pro and not switch to Event Wizard 5.0
  2. Open a Event Wizard 5.0 account for free and use all three products as desired (note: Event Wizard 5.0 surpasses Event Wizard Pro in terms of both functionality and price)
  3. Switch to Event Wizard 5.0. All of the value that you have paid for in your account will be translated into the equivalent number of credits in Event Wizard 5.0. All of the data and reporting for your existing events in Event Wizard Standard/Pro will remain accessible to you but you will not be able to create any new events using Event Wizard Standard or Event Wizard Pro.

Q: I would like to switch to Event Wizard 5.0. Will all of my images, reporting data and registration websites/forms switch with me?

A: Event Wizard 5.0 was redeveloped from the ground up. It utilizes the most advanced relational database design which provides the ultimate in flexibility and unrestricted options. As a result, data and forms from Event Wizard Standard/Pro cannot be transferred to Event Wizard 5.0. However, graphics can be and will be transferred upon your request at no charge.

Q: I would like to switch to Event Wizard 5.0 but I have events currently open in Event Wizard Standard/Pro. What happens to those?

A: Your current events will continue to run until completion and will not be affected. When they are completed, you may decide to switch entirely to Event Wizard 5.0 or stay with Event Wizard Standard/Pro, or use all three. It is up to you.

Q: I would like to switch to Event Wizard 5.0 and no longer use Event Wizard Standard/Pro. How do I get my recurring registration websites moved over?

A: You just have to let us know and we will transfer the value that remains in your Event Wizard Standard/Pro account to Event Wizard 5.0. Your Event Wizard Standard/Pro account will remain accessible to you as will all of your data. You just won’t be able to create a new event in your Event Wizard Standard/Pro account.

Q: I am a current Event Wizard Pro user and see that you are phasing it out. What do I do?

A: We are not phasing out Event Wizard Pro, however, when you experience the new features and power of Event Wizard 5.0, you will quickly see that Event Wizard Pro is no longer the better choice. That said, you can stay with Event Wizard Pro if you like.

Q: It took me a little while to learn how to use Event Wizard Standard/Pro. I like the look of Event Wizard 5.0 but I’m hesitant to learn something new again. Is their help for people like me?

A: As with Event Wizard Standard/Pro, we provide free technical support. However, the Event Wizard 5.0 user interface is even easier to use and it won’t take long for you to catch on as we have kept a lot of the same concepts and terminology from Event Wizard Standard/Pro. In addition, we have online help and tool tips throughout Event Wizard 5.0 to make it as easy as possible.

Q: I see Event Wizard 5.0 is using a credit system rather than a typical dollar amount, why is this?

A: Credit base pricing is growing in popularity with software available on the internet. We recognize this trend and are committed to be ahead of the curve with all aspects of Event Wizard 5.0. The credit system is easy to understand and it allows us to provide bonuses to larger one-time purchases of the software. In addition, it is easier for customers to manage their purchases. There is only one item to purchase; credits.

Q: I see you have dropped the Event Wizard monthly license fee. Are you secretly rolling this in to your credit system?

A: No. We also recognized a trend in the online software marketplace that account fees and per event fees were no longer the way to go. We did extensive surveying of the marketplace and our competitors to come up with the most competitive pricing for Event Wizard 5.0.

Q: I’m used to paying a single registration fee, why have you created ‘Value Added Registration Services’?

A: You will still continue to pay a single registration fee. The Value Added Registration Services are for those customers who have more demanding requirements for their event registration. They are applied on an event by event basis and can be added at any time with the click of a button.
